Grandma Story's Peanut Butter Squares

Grandma Story pulling peanuts

1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup white granulated sugar
2 whole eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup peanut butter
5 Tablespoon soft butter
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Mix these first 7 ingredients until very creamy

Slowly ADD a well blended mixture of
1 tablespoon Baking Powder and 1 cup of flour
to the creamy base

Spread on to a shallow greased and floured 9"x12"
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes
Remove from oven and cut into squares

This recipe was adapted by Grandma Story's sister, Iris
Iris worked for the Orange County school system and
this was served in the school cafeteria. The school received
lots of commodity peanut butter so someone came up
with this great idea.
